The Social Enterprise & Innovation Programme is a £1.8m EU-funded initiative offering start-up support, business planning workshops, coaching and mentoring for people and small businesses in the West of England.
We were approached by the University of Bath and The Innovation Centre to create a bold, graphic look to drive eyes, brains and feet to the venture and it’s associated events. The resulting designs were used for popup banners, leaflets, online branding and a 3m curved display. Inspired by the success of our trademark cutout graphics (see Bath Digital Festival & The Sparkies) we also created a Rosie the Riveter ‘We can do it’ placard for punters to press their cheerful little faces through and tweet it ruthlessly to the cold, unforgiving world…
These designs proved so popular (the youth literally went wild…) a range of variations were commissioned for each of the other EU-funded initiatives, covering Digital Innovation, Sustainable Technology and Advanced Engineering (linked with the University of Bath IAAPS scheme). In total, the EU has committed around £7m to the 4 projects – makes Farage look like a bit of a tosser really…
