A recent collaboration with Edinburgh University involved illustrations for a new research paper on the impact of AI in the creative industry. Mapping Imaginaries: A Futures Workshop for Creative Practices with Generative AI’ was published in June ’26 and can be downloaded here. Spoiler alert: young graduates and junior artworkers are more worried about it all than crusty old agency directors desperate to save money and not get left behind…

This was a great chance to add some scratchy, inky fingerprints to a subject more familiar with plagiarised perfection than creative collaboration. Hopefully this injected a greater sense of personality to reflect the very human hopes and fears of those interviewed, from Marxist revolution and the death of Capitalism to the terrifying prospect of receiving emails from your kitchen appliances.

While Little Creature remains fervently anti-AI in all it’s unhelpful, over-productive guises, I guess all us pencil-wagglers can do is focus on producing juicy work while bracing ourselves for the inevitable analogue backlash that will save us all (!)…
