Working with award-winning Digital Agency Desq, we designed and produced a series of animated videos for the Specsavers ‘Dignity at Work’ programme – an online learning experience focused on identifying bullying and harassment in the workplace.
These short stories were based on realistic scenarios, bringing emotion, empathy and impact to the viewer and turning company policy into an emotional journey to illustrate its importance. Following the story of an employee who feels threatened and harassed by her colleagues, it was crucial to use broad strokes to convey her emotion and distress. Colour and tone acted as a character, with grain and grunge helping blur the boundaries between people’s actions and the way they can be perceived. Sound was another key element, blending echoing ambience with indistinct chatter to build an uneasy atmosphere. Check out some stills from the videos below…
