RISCS publication

Published in early 2026 and created in partnership with RISCS (the Research Institute for Sociotechnical Cyber Security) this book was funded by the Universities of Bristol and Royal Holloway to showcase vital research into digital security. The aim was to explore the current cyber security landscape through the eyes of users, often from marginalised communities, with the intention of both empowering communities and suggesting a digital responsibility roadmap for both Governments and Tech companies alike.

As with previous digital security work, the best way to visualise an idea and make it more accessible is to create illustrations – in this case, rich picture layouts which were then cherry-picked to accompany the copy itself. Custom concepts, hand-drawn and scanned, the illustrations hopefully hint at the human stories behind alienating firewalls and endless online forms…
